iPhone 17 Pro Could Launch at Rs 1.25 Lakh for 256GB Variant in India

Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro could debut with a larger base storage option and a possible price increase, according to a recent leak from Chinese tipster Instant Digital. The compact Pro model is reportedly planned to launch with 256GB as the entry-level storage, replacing the previous 128GB option.
If accurate, the shift in storage would be paired with a $50 increase over last year’s starting price. In the United States, the iPhone 17 Pro could be listed at $1,049 for the 256GB model, up from $999 for the iPhone 16 Pro’s 128GB variant.
In India, the iPhone 16 Pro launched at Rs 1,19,900 for the 128GB version and Rs 1,29,900 for 256GB. Based on current pricing patterns, the iPhone 17 Pro’s 256GB model could be positioned around Rs 1,25,000.
Apple is expected to announce the full iPhone 17 lineup later this year, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and other models. If the leak holds true, the Pro models will offer more storage at launch, potentially making them better value for customers seeking higher capacity devices.
The company is also rumored to unveil the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17e, and new Apple Watch Series 11 during its September launch event. While leaked images of an event invite circulating on X (formerly Twitter) suggest a September 9, 2025 date, Apple typically sends invitations about two weeks in advance, meaning official confirmation is expected closer to late August.
